The Competitive Screening will take place once again at the Colony Theater, with short and feature films competing for the Cristal Lens Award, the most prestigious award in Brazilian cinema outside the country. Cinema Paradiso in Fort Lauderdale will screen recent films that have earned both public and critical acclaim, in addition to the tribute screening.

In addition to the Awards the Closing Night will present Maria Gadú live in concert, one of the newest singers in the popular Brazilian music scene.
