It is based on the first book of a trilogy by Swedish writer and activist Stieg Larrson. This was a major best selling book in Europe and the film is a hugh success there. This showing at the Miami International Film Festival was an East Coast Premiere. The movie will open nationally in the US.

The Hearts and Stars Gala, to benefit the Ronald McDonald House Charities of South Florida and The Little Lighthouse Foundation, will take place on Saturday, March 20, 2010 from 7PM-11PM at the Hibiscus Island private waterfront estate, Casa Malinka.

Guests will sip cocktails courtesy of Grey Goose vodka, Landshark beer and wine from Southern Wine & Spirits as they dance the night away under the stars to a premier Miami DJ and a performance by Pras, formerly of the Grammy Award winning trio, The Fugees.

Live and Silent auctions will feature numerous items ranging from exciting celebrity experiences with the likes of local celebrity artist, Romero Britto, football Hall of Famer, Lawrence Taylor, and unique conceptual artist, Stephen Gamon, along with fine jewelry, getaways, dining and much more. Supercar Experience Weekend in Palm Beach

Supercar Experience is back this year and this time you get to go for a ride! Over 350 Supercar owners from around the world will converge in Palm Beach with their cars to share their passion for exotic automobiles, racing, and to enjoy three days of camaraderie. The event kicks off with national press day–limited to the media, celebrity drivers, and VIPs on February 24. Jeile Marie was able to hitch a ride and see what 155 mph feels like on a track.

Legendary British driver, Derek Bell, will attend the Supercar Experience Track Day as Grand Marshal on Friday, February 26, at Palm Beach International Raceway. Bell began racing in the mid-sixties and is now considered one of the world’s premier sports car drivers. His resume includes two world endurance titles, five wins at LeMans, and three Daytona victories.

“Derek Bell is one of the most remarkable endurance racers to ever pilot a car,” says John Temerian, Founder of Supercar Experience. “We are extremely honored to have one of the industry’s greats as the grand marshal of SCX Palm Beach Track Day.”

Bell will be available for VIP and media lap drives in the Mosler MT900S, a lightweight, high performance supercar boasting ‘magical’ road and track performance in a very sexy package.

Additional highlights of the SCX Track Day include VIP and media drives in the same Formula 1 car driven by World Champion Damon Hill, the Arrows A18-Ford V8. The event will be hosted by Guy Cosmo, an accomplished race car driver and former open-wheel racing champion who won the 2005 American Le Mans Series Rookie of the Year award. Cosmo is a proven front-runner in the Grand-Am Rolex Sport Car Series Daytona Prototype category and is a member of the driver lineup to compete for the Extreme Speed Motorsports Ferrari F430 GTC team in the American Le Mans Series’ GT class for the upcoming race season.

Usher Jamie Foxx Super Bowl Party Miami Beach

As we were covering Super Bowl events in Miami we were invited to cover the Super Sexy Saturday Night party hosted by Jamie Foxx at the Miami Beach Surfcomber Hotel which became the Budlight Hotel. The highlight attraction was a blowout concert by Usher. There was a slight sound problem after the concert and Jamie Foxx was very successfully picking up the slack by offering to pour free shots for all of the ladies. We were six inches away from Foxx as he ‘did his thing’. Besides being one of the greatest actors, he is not shy and loves to mingle with his fans. Venus Williams Super Bowl XLIV Party Miami Beach

Super Bowl XLIV weekend in South Florida is one big party. Richard takes us to see what it’s like to party like a rock star, or rather a sports star, during the Tide Febreze sponsored event at the W Hotel in South Beach. You know that if Venus is throwing a party, a lot of big sports figures are going to show up, and they did. We watched Terrell Owens and Charles Oakley playing a pickup game with 2×2 reality show winner Hoopz. Got a shout out from Miami Dolphins Vontae Davis and Lance Bass. DJ Pete Wentz showed up without Ashlee Simpson. New “It” boy favorite Kellan Lutz from Twilight was there. Solange Knowles (Beyonce’s sister) hit the decks. Kelly Rowland from Destiny’s Child and Jamie Foxx were shooting hoops. Jamie Foxx was friendly to everyone and clowns around with Venus Williams imitating her serving style. “”You go were we go” during Super Bowl XLIV weekend in Miami.
