Kardashian Fashion Show Setai
The Kardashians are hitting South Beach hard with their new store opening Dash Miami and the new TV show airing in August “Kourtney & Khloe Take Miami.” They presented a fashion show at the Setai Hotel for D’Amore swimwear line. I was there to check out what these sexy ladies are up to.
It was a hot and humid Wednesday night in Miami. As I walked up to the entrance of the Setai Hotel I could see the line of people waiting to get in wrap around the side of the building. This line was still there when I left a couple of hours later after the show.
There wasn’t any special decor. The Setai is pretty swanky on its own. The runway was set up in the middle of the water pond that the hotel has in the outdoor courtyard. The cameras were set up everywhere. You could tell this show was doing double duty. Promoting the swimwear line, promoting the Dash Miami store, and filming for the new E! show.
The Kardashian girls were nowhere to be seen. I arrived around 8:30pm so I’m assuming they had already taken their pictures in front of the backdrop and were hiding out backstage with the models. There was a roped off area with some characters that looked like they could be celebrities but I didn’t know any of them. There was a camera positioned directly across from this section so we decided to hang out here.
It was time for the show, the Kardashians made an introduction at the center of the runway and then were ushered around the crowd and over to the section that was roped off. I had my vidcam and tried to get some good footage of the girls. They looked perfect as if humidity in Miami Beach didn’t exist. Of course, it probably helped that they had been hanging out in air conditioning unlike the rest of us that were outside in the courtyard fanning ourselves.
