WHO: Designer Jodi Arnold in collaboration with The Limited’s Vice President of Design Elliot Staples and MALAIKA FOR LIFE founder and special guest honoree Kristen Kenney.
WHAT: A special event at Dadeland Mall hosted by The Limited and Ocean Drive Magazine. The event is a chance to meet Jodi and Kristen, who both embody the brand’s message of “Personal Success.”
For Fall 2010, designer Jodi Arnold unveils her second “Jodi Arnold for The Limited” collection during a six-city personal appearance and fashion show tour. This season Jodi celebrates the modern woman and how that woman’s success, as reflected in her style, becomes a source of confidence and empowerment. Building further on the message of celebrating women’s success, The Limited will honor Kristen Kenney, founder of MALAIKA FOR LIFE, during the event.
As a follow up to her hugely successful Spring launch collection and tour last season, Jodi’s second exclusive capsule collection for The Limited features a playful mix of feminine and masculine influenced dresses, tops, and bottoms. The collection provides a fashion-forward aesthetic that is a metaphor for a time when American women sought greater independence.
The Limited’s Vice President of Design Elliot Staples and a team of style experts will join Jodi to offer advice on how to wear the collection and mix it with your favorite existing Limited pieces. Later on in the evening, The Limited, in partnership with Niche Media & Ocean Drive Magazine, will honor philanthropist and local hero Kristen Kenney for her work in fighting malaria and empowering women in ravaged communities in Africa. The Limited is proud to celebrate Kristen’s tireless work for the advancement of women and their role in society half-way across the globe. The foundation’s “Save a Life” bracelets will be sold during the event with proceeds going toward life-saving medication for children with malaria. For the African widows and HIV-positive women who craft the bracelets, the organization provides sustainable income and economic development.
