Every first Thursday at Tempo Live! Rough Draft Inc. combines live music with impromptu art to create a mind blowing experience that draws in every angle of the creative soul!

Beyond the art, its a good time that everyone can enjoy. So whether you consider yourself an artist or not you will definitely want to experience what Rough Draft is for yourself.

The March Edition of Rough Draft will feature LIVE performances by Grammy Award winning producer/writer Rico Love’s Division 1 Artist Cherlise as well as Defyne Entertainment’s Anthem Banger.

We will also screen the trailer of the Dandelion Films, Russell Simmons produced documentary Lemon about three-time felon, Tony Award winning poet Lemon Anderson and immediately following the screening we will host a virtual Q & A with the producers of the film and Lemon himself.

It’s that time again. Have you burned off the holiday gut? Been running much lately? On Sunday, January 29th, 2012 either you join them or sleep in because you know how crowded the streets get when the ING Miami Marathon takes over. Join the massive crowds as the internationally acclaimed marathon and half marathon takes to the beautiful streets of Miami, South Beach, Downtown Miami, Coconut Grove and Key Biscayne, and ends with a great finish festival at Bayfront Park.

Not everyone wants to run a marathon; some people prefer to cheer on the sidelines. With our new volunteer program, supporting the athletes just got easier. Sign up today to help (and cheer) on the race course or be waiting at the end to hand out finisher medals.

Somewhere I heard a rumor that a Walmart might be opening up in Midtown. I did not believe it and so made no effort to check into this statement. This morning I saw it mentioned in my Twitter feed along with a petition to sign. Without hesitation I signed the petition and hope you will too.

If you’re not familiar with the camp format, here’s a brief primer. To put it simply, it’s an open event in which participants provide content. This user-generated unconference is modeled after BarCamp, a technology-focused, international network of events successfully operating around the world since 2005. Camps are a great way of building community without the hassle of formal conference arrangements.

At HeartCamp, we treat the heart as the central core of what it means to be human.  We create dialogue about everything that affects the heart, with emphasis on relationships of all kinds, including, but not limited to:

•    Love and sex as well as one’s relationship with self
•    Relationship to family, children, parents, pets, country and culture
•    Professional relationships, heart connections to career and to money
•    Relationship to the physical and spiritual heart, heart health and heart break
•    Relationship to body, self-esteem, anxiety, addictions, grief
•    Relationship to technology, love in the age of the internet, the heart exposed
