In the Air // On the Screen at Pinecrest Gallery Gardens

Join Pinecrest Gallery Gardens for a wine reception to celebrate the opening of In the Air // On the Screen, a solo exhibition of work by Miami-born artist Sarah Michelle Rupert.

Rupert is a visual artist living and working in South Florida. Using photography, video, collage, drawing and design, her work revolves around consumer-driven mass-communication and television culture in contemporary experience.

In the Air // On the Screen follows Rupert’s work from the serial stagings that explode and levitate the commonplace, to an ever-going, intimate relationship with television, to a digital journey that takes a paper animation above and beyond its physical limitations to find happiness. As her body of work shifts between analog and digital manipulation; meaning and inference are left open and… in the air.
